Lisa Parsons first documented person and woman to hike the entire 12 mile long Green River Gorge. Worked on expanding conservation efforts in the Green River Gorge Greenway. Photo documented Green River Gorge to promote conservation efforts.

Pat Sumption

Pat Sumption fell in love with the Green River. As an activist and environmentalist, the Green River spoke to her. She was instrumental in creating the Green River Cleanup and starting a community organization called Friends of the Green. Through Friends of the Green, she worked on the Tacoma Pipeline 5 agreement to preserve flows for salmon, people, and the environment in the Green-Duwamish river.
